Training

We offer different training programs.

One is a four year primary training for people with no formal training in psychotherapy. It includes theory, technique and supervision.

Another one is an "advanced training" for trained psychotherapist who wish to learn body psychotherapy or as practicing body psychotherapist they wish to incorporate Functional Analysis into their current therapy practice.

A current training (2021-2024) takes place in Hamburg-Germany and the South of France.

Trainings are sometimes also organized in other countries - Italy and Austria.

Hamburg | November 14, 2025 to November 16, 2025 | WORKSHOP INTRODUCTION TO FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS

If we, like Wilhelm Reich, assume that psyche and soma are not just related to each other but are "symptoms" of a living, deeper process, then we can start working either with the somatic or the psychic aspect. The essential point is to consider this deeper process: In Functional Analysis, the focus lies on understanding the psychosomatic matrix and its functions.
The workshop provides an overview of the working method and the key concepts of Functional Analysis.
Until recently, connective tissue had gone unnoticed and unrecognized in its significance as an anatomical system. Thanks to international research efforts over the past few years, it has been classified as an "organ" since 2018. Connective tissue and fascia pervade our entire body like a network. They form, envelop, and pass through our entire structure, playing a very important role in perception and the transmission of information within our entire living system. its elasticity, plasticity, and unique formations provide insights into developmental processes and a person's structure. In this context, the functional analysis offers another perspective on early disorders and trauma.
A deeper understanding of connective tissue and its function provides a new perspective on the dynamic of the psychosomatic matrix and the therapeutic process.
The workshop also introduces the concept of the "instroke," the inward movement of pulsation. Working with the inward movement of pulsation enables us to "touch" the dynamics within a structure, foster inner mindfulness and presence, and thereby develops a reflexive self-awareness. Resilience is cultivated and self-healing capacities are activated. In the further process, all of this facilitates the development of a self-to-self relationship, complementing the self-to-other relationship, which proves highly beneficial in accompanying individual developmental and healing processes.
The workshop serves as an introduction to the method and training in Functional Analysis with Lilly and Will Davis.

The workshop is for psychotherapists, body psychotherapists, and all therapists with a particular interest in psychosomatic connections.

The workshop will take place from NOVEMBER 14, 2025, AT 2:00 PM TO NOVEMBER 16, 2025, AT 5:00 PM at the Praxisgemeinschaft beim Schlump, No. 52a, 20144 Hamburg (entrance in the courtyard).

The cost is 485 EUR.

Introduction to Functional Analysis - Mas de la Capelle | France

Functional Analysis Body Psychotherapy

Dates: July 10 to 14, 2023

In the Beginning: A New Paradigm Working with Early Disturbance and Trauma

In this five day workshop we will explore the psychosomatic matrix of early disturbance and trauma: how and where they are embodied in the body/mind and how to work safely below disturbance and trauma.

One theme will be the role of connective tissue in the structuring of development and defense. Structure is behavior. Change the structure and self experience and behavior are altered.

A second theme will be using the schizoid process as an example of how connective tissue functioning translates into the creation of somatic and psychic structures and how to work safely with early disturbance and trauma without having to work on them or through them.

There will be theoretical and conceptual presentations, experiential exercises as well as the teaching and practicing of the physical touch technique of Points&Positions used in Functional Analysis.

6-10 participants - 750€ (Minimum 6)
